What are the fundamentals of roasting?
Roasting is the act of using hot air to cook an ingredient through, usually with an oven. To achieve , roasting usually occurs at higher temperatures.
- Note: the term roasting can be used interchangeably with , although it usually refers to savory or higher heat applications.
Air frying is just roasting with a powerful convection fan which circulates air for more effective and temperature distribution. If your oven has a convection fan setting, you are replicating how an air fryer works.
