Prep these Thai inspired meatballs ahead of time and throw them in the fridge. Reheat them later for the perfect weeknight meal.

  • Aromatics

    • birds eye green chilies
      3-5
    • thai basil
      1 bunch
    • shallots
      1
  • Meat & seasoning

    • ground pork
      450 g1 lb
    • hoisin
      25 g
    • fish sauce
      10 g
    • dark soy sauce
      5 g
    • salt
      2 g
    • white pepper
      2 g
    • msg
      1 g
    • water
      a splash

Method

Step 1: Prep the aromatics

Prep the aromatics.

Chop the basil, dice the shallot and bird’s eye chilis.

Step 2: Mix the meatballs

Preheat the oven to 450°F/232°C.

In a large bowl, mix together the meatball components along with the aromatics. Mix until everything is evenly distributed.

Step 3: Form the meatballs & bake

Put a little water on your hands to prevent sticking. Form the meatballs into golf ball sized balls and place on a sheet pan.

in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until and cooked through.

Enjoy right away or store them in the fridge for later use.
